POLING LAW WINS BACK to BACK TRIALS

The year is off to a good start, with two verdicts in favor of our doctors.  We are pleased to share that defense verdicts were obtained in Ferguson v. Lowe and Payne v. Emlich.  In Ferguson, the patient alleged that her bladder was injured during an elective hysterectomy, resulting in a complete loss of bladder function.  Over $3 million dollars were alleged in damages.  The jury returned an 8-0 verdict in 15 minutes.  In Payne, the patient alleged that our ER doctor failed to timely reinsert a Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) Tube, among other allegations, resulting in peritonitis and a 7 month hospitalization and rehab stay, totaling over $600,000.00 in medical bills.  The jury returned an 8-0 verdict in 40 minutes.
