Amanda Sims

Amanda concentrates her practice on family and elder law. She helps people throughout all walks of their lives. She represents individuals in their divorce, dissolution, post-decree matters, prenuptial agreements, custody disputes, support matters, and the like. She also assists individuals in preparing and updating their estate plans and provides relief for those who find themselves facing the administration of a probate estate.

Amanda is a graduate of The University of Kentucky (B.S., magna cum laude) and Capital University Law School (J.D., cum laude). During law school, she served as a family law clerk of Harry Lewis Co., LPA. Amanda also worked for Lavin Law Group as an elder law attorney before joining Ralph A. Kerns in 2011 where she practiced both family law and estate planning.

Amanda stays active in the legal community. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Women Lawyers of Franklin County. She also volunteers on ABC6 Ask the Attorney. Amanda has recently been named “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers for 2016. She is originally from Louisville, Kentucky and is still a Wildcat at heart.

Amanda understands the importance of hiring an attorney that is familiar with the area of law and the court proceedings but also gets that these matters are stressful and emotional. To that end, Amanda strives to ensure that each client receives a level of attention that is hard to match elsewhere.
