Prior to coming to Poling, Cassandra was employed by Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company for seven years in Corporate Litigation for the Discovery Management Unit. While at Nationwide, she participated as a Lieutenant for the OCLO Hunger Relief Committee, Completed Nationwide Casualty Claims New Hire Training, and served as a Mediator, Franklin County Municipal Court, Small Claims Division. Before receiving her Paralegal Certificate from Capital University Law School in 2012, Cassandra was employed with the University of Illinois in Chicago where she assisted with the creation of an educational non-profit organization which is what sparked her interest in the legal field. Cassandra received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Ohio University in 2002.

Cassandra has been a Notary Public since 2014. Cassandra actively participates in the Paralegal Association of Central Ohio (“PACO”) and is currently serving at the Secretary of the Board. She was the Committee Chair for the PACO Job Bank Committee. She also serves on the PACO Ohio Biennial Workshop & Exhibit Subcommittee and the Public Relations Committee. Last year she chaired the PACO Paralegal Day that was held May 2018. She was the Committee Chair for the PACO Job Bank Committee from 2017 - 2019. Thru PACO, Cassandra volunteers her time at the PACO Wills Clinics. The PACO wills clinics assist low income clients with providing them an opportunity to obtain a will by having access to an attorney and a paralegal.

In her free time Cassandra enjoys volunteering as Roster Judge Captain for the Franklin County Board of Elections. She is currently working towards her 200-hour teacher training in Yoga and teaches classes in her free time. She enjoys running and spending time with family and friends.
