Frederick A. Sewards, a life-long resident of Ohio, has devoted his entire legal career to the defense of health care professionals in civil litigation. Fred successfully defended a primary care physician in a medical negligence trial just a few months after being admitted to the Bar of the State of Ohio in November, 1990. Since then, Fred has represented thousands of health care providers and has tried more than 100 cases throughout Ohio in both state and federal courts as well as in jurisdictions outside of Ohio. Fred has secured successful jury verdict results in more than 95% of his trials. Fred’s areas of practice include long term care malpractice and medical malpractice.

Fred is regularly an invited lecturer to health care professionals on a variety of topics relevant to health care litigation. Fred was a founding board member of Camp Sunrise, a non-profit organization providing a summer camp experience for children impacted by HIV.
