Originally from Marion, Ohio, Linda graduated Marion Technical College in 1986 with an Associate Degree in Business Management / Labor Relations and Negotiations. In 1987 she moved to Columbus when she was accepted into a federal training program to become a federal court reporter. After completing the course work, Linda worked through a contract agency in Columbus and provided court reporting services for federal agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board, Drug Enforcement Agency, Internal Revenue Service, Security and Exchange Commission, and General Services Agency. Most recently, Linda has 21 years of defense of litigation experience as a legal assistant.

Linda is an active member of the community and, as a Master Gardener, organized a faith-based community garden in 2007. This garden provides fresh in-season produce to local food banks. She has also been a presenter at Franklin Park Conservatory and for American Community Gardening Association conferences. Lastly, in support of her own neighborhood since 2010, Linda serves as a Block Watch coordinator.
