Zachary is a 2018 graduate of Capital University Law School (J.D., summa cum laude). Zachary’s practice involves all aspects of civil litigation with a focus on the defense of physicians, healthcare professionals, hospitals and assistance with general liability matters. Zachary’s unique combination of practical experience and academic achievements allows him to provide comprehensive legal representation based on the evolving needs of our clients.
Prior to joining Poling, Zachary worked as a law clerk at the Franklin County Probate Court and served as an extern to Justice Sharon Kennedy at the Supreme Court of Ohio. Zachary also had the opportunity to serve as an extern to the general counsel of the Columbus Blue Jackets and gain greater insight into the exhaustive approach to legal representation for a professional sports franchise. Zachary’s experience further includes work as a law clerk at a boutique estate planning and probate firm where he learned the importance of proper asset management and estate administration.
While an evening student at Capital University Law School, Zachary was recognized for his academic excellence as the recipient of Dean’s List honors every semester, the Dean’s Excellence Award and CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Rules of Civil Procedure, Professional Responsibility, and Environmental Law for being the highest scoring student in each respective class. Zachary also served as an Articles Editor on the Executive Board of Capital University Law Review, Volume 46, and as a Staff Editor on Volume 45. Zachary’s exceptional writing skills were recognized by his peers when his article The Pervasiveness of Cell Phones and the Fourth Amendment: A Right to Privacy in Locational Data was selected for publication in Volume 46 of the Capital University Law School Law Review.
