Frederick Sewards Presents Annual Seminar, Discusses Medical Malpractice
On December 16, 2020, Poling attorney Frederick A. Sewards presented his annual seminar to the Combined Residency Program in the Mount Carmel Health System. The seminar is part of CRESS (Combined Residency Educational Seminar Series) at Mount Carmel which gathers together interns and residents in Mount Carmel’s six fully accredited residency programs and one accredited fellowship (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Orthopedic, General Surgery, and Transitional Year).
The subject matter for this year’s seminar was “Medical Malpractice Lawsuits in Ohio: An Overview.” The purpose of the seminar is to provide medical fellows, interns and residents with a general understanding of medical malpractice lawsuits. The seminar was conducted appropriately with pandemic protections and most of the seminar’s audience participated by video conferencing.
Mr. Sewards regularly gives lectures on professional liability subjects to groups of physicians, nurses, other healthcare providers and hospitals on issues related to medical malpractice litigation.
